Nordic Seaweed Project is a venture programme with the objectives to estimate the nordic seaweed ressources and investigate the possibilities of a sustainable exploitation:

Research This part of the project will produce scientific documentation for the distribution, diversity, biomass and production of the seaweed resource.

Product development Development of harvesting methods of seaweeds will run parallel to the biological research and the potential of the seaweeds as sheep feed or as other commercial products will be tested.
